Text marquee
A line of text scrolling sideways. A rhythm break between heavier sections, or a way to repeat a short promise.
Setting it up
Add a Slide block per phrase. They run one after another in a continuous loop.
Scroll duration sets the speed — a longer duration is slower. Scroll direction sets which way it travels.
Pause on hover stops it while the cursor is over it. It does nothing on touch devices, which have no hover.
Type
Font size, Font weight, Letter spacing, Uppercase text and Text color style the line.
Large and bold is what this section is for. At a small size a moving line is just hard to read; at a large size it becomes a graphic element that happens to carry words.
Writing the slides
Short phrases. Each is on screen briefly and in motion, so anything needing a second reading is lost.
Three to five, and let them say different things — a repeated single phrase reads as a stutter rather than as emphasis.
A word on motion
Continuous movement draws the eye for as long as it is visible, which is exactly why it works and exactly why one per page is the limit. Two competing marquees make a page feel restless.
Visitors who have asked their device to reduce motion are served a static line instead, so the words are never lost — but that is a reason to keep the wording worth reading on its own, not a reason to add more movement.
