Standard pages

The template behind About, Contact, FAQ, shipping information, policies and anything else that is neither a product nor a post.

Open it from the template dropdown in the theme editor.

The default template

The plain page template shows a Page hero with the page title, then the page content you wrote in the admin under Content → Pages.

That is deliberately simple. Most pages want text and nothing else.

Alternate templates

Greenix ships with three alternates, each built from sections rather than page content:

TemplateBuilt from
page.aboutMission, Stats, Values band, Image grid, Testimonials
page.contactContact with a working form
page.faqFAQ with expandable questions

To use one, create the page under Content → Pages, then choose the template under Theme template in the page's sidebar.

The About and FAQ templates ignore page content

Both are built entirely from sections, so whatever you type into the page's content editor will not appear. Put your words into the section settings instead.

The About template does show the page title, through its page hero. The FAQ template does not.

Making your own

Create an alternate for any layout you use more than once — page.shipping, page.stockists. Add one from the template dropdown in the theme editor, or under Online Store → Themes → ⋯ → Edit code → Templates.

Sections restricted to product or blog templates will not be offered on a page template, since they have no product or post to read from.

Contact form

The page.contact template carries a real Shopify contact form. Submissions go to the email address set under Settings → Store details → Sender email in the admin, not to an address configured in the theme.

Check that address is one you actually read before publishing the page.
